Alison Loewen

Alison has been teaching Kindermusik since 2025, but music, art, and creativity have been part of her life since childhood. A self-described band and theatre geek, she began playing percussion in fourth grade and performing in local theatre productions in middle school and continued studying both through university. While these days she mostly drums on her desk and sings in the shower, her love of music and performance is still strong.

By day, Alison is a children’s librarian, where spending her days with young children and families brings plenty of inspiration into the Kindermusik classroom. Whether through stories, songs, movement, or hands-on exploration, she believes in the power of play and creativity to bring people together.

Alison sometimes wonders if she’s having even more fun than the families as they sing, dance, laugh, and play together! Her greatest joy, though, is watching caregivers and children connect, and seeing the delight those shared moments bring to both.
